Lead Geotechnical Engineer

Don More is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and lead our geotechnical engineering group. Based in Saint John, the Engineer will work closely with clients, approval agencies and others on the design team to complete land development projects.

This is a senior level position. Individual should be a motivated self starter who can lead and manage a team and manage projects.

Tasks:

• Interact with clients

• Prepare quotes and proposals for projects

• Perform research and background investigations

• Perform and oversee the execution of design calculations

• Prepare cost estimates and construction schedules

• Prepare plans and design documents

• Confirm adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress

• Inspecting construction sites and verifying calculations and placements

Prior experience in site development is a requirement.

The primairy focus of this team is on development support such as geotechnical reports for foundation design, compaction testing of subgrade and aggregates, engineered fill pad design and construction support, retaining wall design and construction support.
